Data Pass Terms and Conditions


Effective: February 20, 2024

In addition to the TextNow Terms of Use (available at https://www.textnow.com/legal/terms), these supplemental Data Pass Terms and Conditions (collectively, the “Terms”) apply to a User’s purchase and use of unlimited data allowance passes offered by TextNow (each a “Data Pass”, and collectively the “Data Passes”) for a fixed price (the “Fee”). Capitalized but undefined terms used herein have the meanings assigned to those terms in the TextNow Terms of Use.

The Fee is charged for every purchase of a Data Pass by eligible Users and is non-refundable. Eligible Users have the option to purchase one Data Pass at a time from the Data Passes described below:

Hour Pass

  • For data usage of up to 300 MB of data per period, download and upload speeds are available without speed restrictions, but are subject to technical limitations and network availability within the applicable region.
  • Any subsequent usage of data above 300 MB per period shall be limited to a speed of 500 kilobytes (KB) per second.

Day Pass

  • For data usage of up to 2 GB of data per period, download and upload speeds are available without speed restrictions, but are subject to technical limitations and network availability within the applicable region.
  • Any subsequent usage of data above 2 GB per period shall be limited to a speed of 500 kilobytes (KB) per second.

Month Pass

  • For data usage of up to 10 GB of data per period, download and upload speeds are available without speed restrictions, but are subject to technical limitations and network availability within the applicable region.
  • Any subsequent usage of data above 10 GB per period shall be limited to a speed of 64 kilobytes (KB) per second.

Limitations

Data Passes are available to certain Users with an active TextNow SIM card. Users may not purchase more than one Data Pass at a time. Users with an active monthly TextNow data subscription are not eligible to purchase a Data Pass.  

Speeds are not guaranteed and may vary depending on network availability and other factors. The Data Pass service is not designed to replace home internet access.  

These Data Pass Terms and Conditions may be amended without notice by TextNow at any time. The Data Passes are subject to availability and may be reduced or discontinued at any time without notice by TextNow.
